Sorry, one more ;)

But all the cores are working at 100% during the AI thinking that seems to be causing problems to some people?

I mean, the several cores 2, 4,... of modern processors, are used?

There's also 3rd party core management programs to be used with games having troubles with multi-core Athlon and Pentium processors....
I experienced a bit with them as regard Il-2 and Athlon dual core, times ago!

I mean they do not reach 100% when the AI is working. 70-80% max. :)

OK thanks, so the 4 cores of your processor are used at 70-80% in the AI time. High requeriments indeed, there must be a lot of calculations there ;)

Yes, but it is such a short time, that single-cores should handle it within reasonable time.

I was finally able to test this game yesterday and my first impression was like "wow this is something completely different that I am used from AGEOD" ;)
Tried the Serbia scenario without the tutorial and was completely lost, so I simply had to try the tutorials and learn how to play. Tannenberg tutorial is quite nice and easy and tells you the basic things about the game.
There are some things that I would like to see changed (mostly cosmetic for now) :
- can you include the typical Serbian hat Šajkača insted of the Russian one : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%A0ajka%C4%8Da
- any chances to have some Central Powers war posters in the game when you play them ? Seeing Entente war posters before my Central powers scenario is ... kinda strange :bonk:
- A-H has Czech, Polish and Slavs units which is kinda strange as both Czechs and Poles are Slavic too. Are the Slavic units meant to be SOUTH Slavs ( Slovenes, Croats and Bosnian Muslims) ?
- there are probable no special Muslim A-H units in the game right ?

Hi guys,

Thanks for the impressions

I love the concept of the game but the lack of a detailed manual really bothers me. After all, what i like about board game translations is that they have simple rules that I can easily follow. In other words, I'll have an idea of why things actually happened....not just a general clue.

I was really disapointed to hear about the state of the current manual...but i know a more detailed one is comming out. When it does...put me down for a copy  .

Is a great game in the gold version. Actually, after a first test great campaign, I'm playing to harder settings of difficulty as central empire: I managed to take Italy and Turkey to my side from the August, a very good start for my war

You are having better luck than me! I am playing Entente - I have desertions on the Eastern Front that I am finding hard to quell. I had several isolated Armies in Italy (they joined the gang early on) that have just disappeared that leaves a large hole in my flank. It took two months of heavy losses to just take Metz with the 1st and 2nd British Armies in France (Belgium is neutral in this game).. I am really struggling here.

Good game. In fact I think due to its complexity, its a fantastic game that has been released in a bug ridden state and that is probably now overlooked. In fact, I think the Gold edition needs more reviews to bring it back up to standard and add some kudos to AGEOD to stick with it and fix it to a playable state.
