What was your strategy for the Tornado? I usualy try to place a whirlwind chainer combined with a chaos fountain at the entry and I finish off the survivors with Dragon Sting/Wicked Hands.

Please enlighten me High master...

I start with an upgraded Dragon Sting, and pray that the first wave is not of these pesky monsters that clones into subvariants 4 time in a raw.

As for 3d, well we shall have to see. the 2d engine is fine enough as it is. Many of the good stuff has been forced to go 3d with mixed effect.

Will be optimistic though.

Ayeshteni,

You will be please to note that the English version of the game is nicknamed "Joan of Arc". The French version is nicknamed "La Guerre de Cent Ans". They must have changed the name with you in mind.

There is an English/US flag you can click, something for the mono linguistic.

I can't help but think of Les Visiteurs when I see this title :D .

Checking out the Montjoie demo now; looks promising and even suitable for a nice evening of multiplayer gaming* :)

Any idea about what the games will cost

* I hope I'm right when I think it's "simultanous" online multiplayer?

I really like the art-style of that Montjoie game. It looks like 3d art for a boardgame-style game done right. I'll definitely have to give the demo a try for that. I know very little about the 100 Years War and this seems like a very good excuse to read up on it!

As for the Wicked Defense, I've never played any of those Tower Defense games. I'm not sure it's my cup of tea, but good to see you guys expanding out and I hope it works out well.

Wow. This is one of the best looking boardgame adaptions I have seen. It looks and feels stunning. Fantastic.

Maybe they should aim for XBOX Arcade ;) .

Played the demo Montjoie scenario, it is quite a fun little game. Took me 3 or 4 turns to figure out what was going on and by then it was too late, I lost all 3 cities and England won :p leure:

I'll definitely give it another go and will consider purchasing.

Played the tutorial in the Montjoie demo tonight and was very impressed. It reminds me of the boardgames I used to play growing up, and also a bit like the old Castles game for the PC. It looks great and seems fun and challanging without requiring too much heavy lifting. Seems like it would be nice break from some of the more complex games I usually find myself playing.

I think I'm a buyer on this one. Thanks to AGEOD for publicizing it.

EDIT: Any more definite word on when this will be released? I'm ready now. :niark:

I also scratched the surface on Montjoie and was intrigued. I need to spend more time with the demo.

Hello Elmo...

Fri Jan 18, 2008 5:07 pm

Multi-player games can be played via a local network or via Internet.
After downloading the demo I have been having some fun fooling with the game....

;) :indien:

Since this forum is not "english-only", I posted in french. Moreover, developpers and editors are French, and what I wrote was at first for them.

But as I see there is some interest, here is the short translation I was too lazy to write in my first post :) :
I tested the demo of Montjoie! and found it very nice.

I don't know the original boardgame but it appears to be a good simulation of the 100-years war.
The diplomatic aspect may offer very sweet multiplayer sessions !

The historic scenario with France versus allied England & Flanders is hard for me, but the other one with Navarre is better balanced.

**

About bugs, I had some crashing corrupted savegames, but autosaves seemed fine.

I also changed the in-game screen resolution for a bigger than my computer could handle, and was not able to reverse it without reinstallation.
I later discovered a Start Menu shortcut about it, so...

**

I will certainly buy this game. An idea about a date or a price ?

Montjoie looks intriguing, if only the demo would download faster.

But... Vainglory of Nations in 2009? Here I was hoping we'd have it this year. Rats.
