An excellent article at Grogheads, from Charles Ross Illingworth:

That's gotta be the third or fourth review of an AGEOD game I've seen that included a mention of this forum. It's either a really nice compliment to us armchair AGEOD fans, or it's just a really bizarre coincidence.

Hi Boomer. :)

I can assure you that my comments regarding the forum were arrived at entirely independently, so must be coincidence.

The compliment to this forum was deliberate.

I was doing some background research on AJE and was really impressed with the support that the fanbase, particularly with the excellent primers that Narwhal was giving the gaming community. I'd add that my praise goes well beyond just Narwhal, since there are a lot of guys on the forum who are insightful and helpful as well.

I guessed that forum members tended to get little recognition outside of the forum and thought they deserved a compliment to the outside world for their dedication to the game, and to the AGEOD gaming community. My review seemed to be an appropriate place to mention the support and dedication of the fanbase, since it helps with the enjoyment of the subtleties of the game.

I'm an occasional poster on this forum, although I lurk quite a bit. I think the forum is generally a very good one, being both helpful, considerate and interesting.
