WIA Hotfix Merchants and Weather 080729

Tue Jul 29, 2008 12:33 pm

To address the issue of Merchant Attrition: found to be from harsh weather [Snow, Frozen, Blizzard]

= Apply ONLY over patch 1.01d
= Changes to all 4 Merchant Models:
BaseCohLoss = 0
BaseAttrition = 0
= New weather zone for Shipping Lanes [and Europe]
No possibility of harsh weather in Shipping Lanes
Notes:
Losses from privateers and other sea battles will still occur.
Attrition and Cohesion losses will still occur for new merchants when moving.

==========================================================
To install:
 • Download the attached file
 • Extract into your Wars in America folder
 • Answer "yes" to overwrite [if you are not asked, you are in the wrong place!]
This should work OK with saved games, but wll not recover 'already lost' strength.
Always ask yourself: "Am I part of the Solution?" If you aren't, then you are part of the Problem!

Line 2292: Formidable created in group Cockburn's Fleet
Line 2294: => SetType command Unknown identifier (check if Alias is OK): UNI_ENG_WAR2 This kind of object {Unit} must have his identifier specified as a numeric
Line 2299: Bulwark created in group Cockburn's Fleet
Line 2301: => SetType command Unknown identifier (check if Alias is OK): UNI_ENG_WAR3 This kind of object {Unit} must have his identifier specified as a numeric

Scenario names are a Work in Progress. Intent is to add a bit of historical interest. Next iteration will combine the 'old names' and quotes... :)

Thank you for your feedback and patience! :coeurs:
