Which Rothenburg is the right one?

Tue Jul 22, 2008 5:56 pm

In my 1812-1815 game I have recieved two Rothenburgs. One with 3 in defensive skills the other with 4. Which one is correct? And is there a way to manually delete one of them?
Thank goodness we don't understand the language of ravens, jackdaws, crickets, frogs, and pigs. Otherwise we'd probably worry about what they think too. Yet how many people seem more brainless than the frogs and jackdaws? Does that make any difference to us? No. We let what they say upset us and render our lives utterly miserable.

Could you please upload the save game files?

I'll need the turn before they/he arrived [should be February 1813]

Thanks! :)

"I'll need the turn before they/he arrived [should be February 1813]"

Is this the backup files in the save menu?

Yes. If you're not sure which, grab 'enough' to get back to Feb. and zip/rar them...

The entire game save gets pretty large....usually exceeds upload limits, so it's necessary to limit how many turns are loaded.

Sorry, I missed that one :( :o

Could either of you upload the 1812 Campaign.sct file from your Events subdirectory? My installation is a 'pre-next patch' version. :o

You'll have to zip it to upload, I think...

The database looks OK, so I'm mystified... :tournepas

Here is my events file and the last three backup files. But he first showed up in the april turn in my game, so if it is the turn before that you need, then it is backup 10.

OK, two problems:

I need all files from the save file subdirectory that includes the file:
"1812 campaign pbem - Turn2546.tag"

Second, I need it without the PBEM password, or tell me what it is... :siffle:

:)

:(
The oldest save in the set is after the Doppleganger was created....

At this time, all we can do is wait for it to happen again...

while hoping that the next patch has already fixed it..... :)

Please report, with save game files of the turn seen and the turn before, any further 'doubling' of leaders....

Thanks, and I'm truly sorry we couldn't get at this one [for now ;) ]

Ok. But do you know which one is the "right" Rothenburg? I presume it is the one without experience that gives +1 to the defensive skill.

I can't really tell for sure until I see the event happen, but:

The event has him arrive without any experience.
His 'basic' ratings should be 5-3-3

Was he in a 'big win' battle upon arrival?
...or the turn the Doppleganger appeared?

No. They both arrived in Quebec on the April turn with no battles.

Started a new games as the British and there is an error at the end of the march 1813 turn after which the twins are created in Quebec. One has attributes 5-3-3 and the other 5-3-4.
The save game is from April 1813 when for the first time both arrive.
Also attached is my script report with one error (probably something related to the twins).
Here is the screen. Image Notice that the second one (5-3-4) is named "Fraser Highlanders" if you check his details, while the first one is propery named "De Rottenburg"
Could you please re-check if "give guns to natives" is really working as I have used that option every turn and I always have only two new replacement.

If you could, please extract the attached into your \Events folder.

Then back up [sorry] to the turn before his appearance, and re-host the turn...

We have a winner :innocent:
Fixed !

Find attached uros.rar which is the saved game just before the "twins" appear. You can use it if you want to test your fix.
