Valley Forge is not in New Jersey

Sat Dec 04, 2010 8:44 pm

I just occupied "Valley Forge" in WIA, and I see it has been placed in Morristown, NJ, where the Continental Army wintered in '77. That is a pretty egregious relocation. Valley Forge would more properly be located in the "Chester" sector next to Philadelphia, as the encampment was on the southern bank of the Schuykill. Both VF and Morristown are around 20 minutes from where I live, in diametrically opposite directions. :)

I've been there too.

Unfortunately, this kind of map change is well beyond the current resources we have to carry it out.

Note that in the 78 Campaign, a structure called "Valley Forge" is in region Chester :)

No need :)

"Upon further review, the call on the field has been reversed." :wacko:

I had a brain-cramp, and forgot about "Region Display Name override" :bonk:

The region containing Morrisville will henceforth be displayed as
{Morris County}

Thank you for your input! :thumbsup:

The region alias for Region 291 will still be $Valley Forge

An entry in LocalStrings_WIA overrides the displayed name.
I will use the {xxx} brackets around 'overrides' so we don't forget and end up chasing a "bug that isn't" for region names :blink:
