Where the hell is my serial?

Mon Oct 25, 2010 5:01 am

I bought a friggin' hard copy of this game. I'm sorry if I sound enraged, but I've had it with serial codes. I have the CD in the package--but when installing the game on a new computer, I can't find the serial when prompted. I installed it on my old computer, and now I want to install it on my new one. LET'S BE CLEAR: I have an old copy I purchased from the AGEOD site. If the code isn't on the disk or packaging, then where the hell is it? Can I please play your game after purchasing it? Is that really so much to ask?

You bought a box, so we don't have your serial key in the database though... But you still have your old computer with your installed copy of the game right? Then hope there is :)

Open <game dir>\ACW\settings\general.opt file, look at the end for your key. The file is a text file that can be opened with notepad.

You mean WIA folder. Mine is in "C:\Program Files\Wars in America\WIA\Settings\General.opt" and the serial key is in there.

take a deep breathe and ask nicley. "could somebody please help me with finding my serial #." i find swearing is not a good approach when asking for help. ;)
