Not reallly.

Doo you have Pause after Battle AND Battle Animation on?
If so, turn both off and try it.

If the battle report pause/animation are already off, then:
Please upload saved game: turn of the CTD and \Backup1 folder

I restored previous turn, and the Fleet with Delancy successfully moved and did distant unload as ordered.

Try loading Dunbar's Brigade into the fleet at Baltimore and transporting them to the coast off Savannah, and distant unload them there. That is when the critical error occurs.

Might be worth a separate sticky, so new players or those unaware won't keep playing with the broken default 1.8 patch. Thank you so much for the fix.

I'm glad I found the error early in the game. Hopefully it will be an easy fix, and we can resume playing soon. I don't want to go back to using vanilla 1.08.

I do want to report another problem, though. I have four bateaux in New York (supply value 69), but I cannot upgrade the depot any further. In previous versions I could upgrade the depot to supply 99. If this is WAD, I apologize. Somehow I don't think it is.

Lodilefty, since you have the game file, could you check this, please?

So, are the problems worse than I thought, or is progress continuing?

In the meantime, I'm using the patched weather files with vanilla 1.08. Works fine, so far.

Is an update to the update being worked on, i.e., a version 1.08b or 1.09? It has been quiet here for the last week.

Yes, work on bug fixes is continuing. Also the addition of new scenario(s).

The non display of the besieged icon that I mentioned a while ago could it be that the same is happening as in NCP. It works in 3D mode but not 2D?

I'll be doing a lot of testing with the patch this weekend. There are a few problems to be sorted out but work is still going on with it.

Cheers, Chris

OK, no 3D in WIA, it was just an idea. :)

Here is a save and backup where I am besieging Fort Cumberland and there is no siege icon to be seen anywhere.
This is with a clean install and patch 1.08.
Hope it helps. :)

Yes, I see.....
(or actually I don't see it!)

Good news though, the Work-in-Progress WIA update has fixed this. :w00t:
Unfortunately, work on next patches is going slowly..... :(

Ooh, I might still have time (within a couple of weeks) to update my WIA Weathers Mod in time for the next patch!

1.08 with Berto's weather patch is actually pretty good, certainly playable IMHO. Id like to see the changes but I can wait.

I do appreciate Ageod's support long after a game is released.

I actually had some major problems with duplicate units last night in the GC. It could be a one off problem though. I'll try another campaign to check.

My main question is with the 1812 campaign. (PBS ran the war of 1812 documentary last night, got me thirsting for early american combat. Thanks to Pocus for helping me get back going!)

The commission privateers option doesn't work in the 1812 scenario. I have plenty of EP, but it never triggers. I don't know if this game will get another patch, I just wanted to get it out there.

Extract the attached into \Events and let me know how it works. (4 files, same code error in each:blink :)

(I tested with "Forced" mode in console, but need "Live game" feedback)

I believe that did it. Thanks.
