Blue Screen of Death!

Tue Nov 26, 2013 7:39 pm

On several occaisions while playing BoA campaigns my screen would suddenly go blue and declare a memory dump. After error checking my system, I get a message that states my Del Dimension has recovered from a serious error, but I am able to restart BoA and continue the game where I left off.

I use the settings just to the left of "Max Texture Size" (large) and "Memory Usage" (75%), but should I go even further left to medium and 50%?

I don't think the winter map is an issue, but I could be wrong.

Any suggestions?

Several possibilities: what operating system are you using? If Windows 7 or 8, run as an administrator.
I assume you are in the most recent patch?

A blue screen is - on 21st century Windows systems - generally not a program software error, but driver or hardware. Maybe overheating.

Then what Eric says likely applies. Perhaps update your drivers or borrow a computer with a newer system and see if you get the same memory dump.

WiA isn't a new game and all my (newer) games never give me that Blue screen.

Have you tried compatibility mode? The DirectX used for WIA is old and some drivers may not support it fully.

Try XP :)
