"slowing down" Battle resolution.....

Wed Apr 16, 2008 10:18 am

Battle resolution -"Battle Circle phase"- is sometimes too much fast, with "Battle Circle" not appearing at all.
Indeed it's probably influenced by CPU power!
Anyway "slowing down" Battle resolution could add pathos to the game: for example, we could have a commitment phase remarked by dedicated sound, (Marching columns, and other soulds annuncing the troop concentration and deployement to battle), followed by the engagement phase with their own sounds.

You have an option for that in the Media tab of the Options window.
As for the rest, ie more contextual sounds and such, we plan to improve on the system for our next game, and I'm sure it will make back in Napoleon's Campaigns after, but everything take time and the team is small... so be patient, it can be several monthes away.

Thanks for suggestion: I tried it with positive results.
