Historical Imprecision!!

Sun Nov 25, 2007 2:17 pm

The Napoleon's Campaigns is very much historically correct, but in the scenario 1914, the Neapolitain Army is Allied to France, historicaly instead Murat is allied to Coalition. Since 11 january 1814 Murat is Allied to Austria, and since 3 february Murat signs am armistice with England.
Murat attacks the Eugene's positions in Lombardy in mars 1814.
After the napoleon's retourn, in april -may 1814, Murat pass in the France field.

thank you for the precision. we knew that murat was waving between the 2 sides. and since his attack was not 'pushing' a lot, he was not put on the allied side.

thanks also for the 1815 napolitan odb. we will use this info for our extended 1815 scenario.

Thanks, we have already the same Order of Battle of the Neapolitan Army (15th January 1814).

These OOBs are extracted from the site of Thomas Hemmann which is a gold mine for many others also.

Spain 1808 inaccuracy

Thu Dec 06, 2007 7:03 am

Another big historical inaccuracy is the Spanish campaign. In the game, Napoleon and the Grande Armee arrive in May 1808, which is hisorically incorrect - historically, they actually don't arrive until October, which gives the Spanish and British time to drive the French out of Spain and Portugal with victories, historically, by the coalition at Vimiero and Bailen. As it is in the game, the coalition can get wiped out pretty fast by the Grande Armee in May.

There was a bug in the reinforcement schedule that made Napy and the Grande Armée show up from turn 2 instead of the regular schedule (October). This is now fix and will be in the upcoming patch (with lots of other fixes) :indien:

Bonjour,
