Unit unique names

Sun Oct 12, 2008 8:50 pm

AFAIK, in setup Excel sheet, Column B, (Name) we have to edit a unique name for any unit figuring in the scenario.

Checking 1813 setup sheet I noticed that's not always true!
Guns batteries share often a common name: we have many "1. Schwere Bte" or "1. Bte" on the allied side.

What's the suggestion as regard?

On my own,

1. I could check OOBs for the scenery serching for correction: unfortunately some data are missing!

2. We could add a Korps/Corps indication too.
Example:
1. Schwere Bte/I. AK (for Prussian Armee Korps).
1. Schwere Bte/I. BK (for Austrian Bayerische Korps)
1. Schwere Bte/I. MK (for Austrian Mitte Korps)

Of couse this last could be most easy and speedy solution!

Waiting suggestions!

Last is ok for me. Theoretically, you don't even have to supply a name in column B, you can leave NULL, and the generic name will be used by the engine. For leaders it means the name entered in the database...
