Nothing Moves

Tue Dec 09, 2008 8:18 pm

Hi please help me as I am getting very, very frustrated!! I am new to the game and have played all the Tutorials. Now when I am trying to play the 1805 campaign I give move orders to the various commanders, when I hit Nex Turn - NOTHING HAPPENS????

I have made sure not to give orders to unactivated commanders, have scrolled thru every single Commander to make sure. Its probably something simple but it is stopping me playing the game!!

Do you see in the message panel a new message or nothing? Beware there is the save button and the end turn button at the top right of the screen.

Hi Lille, and welcome to the forums :)

Sorry to hear you have problems with the game. I sthere any chance that you could make a zipfile of your savedirectory and upload/attach to a post here?

Also, is this with a modded or unmodded campaign?

The 1805 Thames or Danube scenario I uploaded, SHOULD be the fix to some default NCP scenario troubles reported after last patch:

http://www.ageod-forum.com/showpost.php?p=114896&postcount=2

It's then possible I introduced new troubles, while fixing known ones  !

Which is why it is good to know which version of the scenarios are being used :)

I just catched troubles with the 1805 Thames or Danube scenario. :(
A chain reaction was behind the origin:
1. A trouble with LGE_Setup_scenar_AugustCampaign_1805h.EXL from last NCP_DB
2. I modded such files for fixing known/reported troubles, but then processing EXL file to game file I introduced the new troubles in the game.
:bonk: Shame on me!

Now, a new, possibly fixed version of game files will be soon available!
Then I'll report EXL file from NCP_DB to Pocus!

BTW, the troubles I noticed are crashing the game, but both AI and player units moves normally......

Need the XLS file corresponding to the scenario, and the details about what you changed compared to the previous one.

Please check your e-mail box.

Notice, the troubles I had to fix have nothing to see with originally reported issue: "nothing moves"....
I suspect AI was disabled or end turn button was not pressed to get a "nothing moves" effect. AFAIK, all other troubles give error notification messages or game crash!

Still no luck

Wed Jul 29, 2009 9:56 pm

Gave up on this for nearly 18 months, tried again - and exactly the same damned thing happens!! Have played the Peninsular Scenario for a few turns and all works ok but the Austerlitz one, none of the goddamned french forces move when I click next turn. Am I the only player that has this problem or wot???
