Ncp2?

Wed Jun 25, 2008 6:23 pm

Those "AACWers" :fleb: with a new thread about a possible AACW2? !

Cannot be, we need our own thread for NCP2 then! :niark:

That is a joke of course, but then there will be a NCP2?

In the video interview and in the first thread about NCP in this forum, PhilThib stated that there would be a NCP2 if things went well, of course we may assume that he is talking about the sales and interest generated. So the sales are going well to warrant a v2?

Let's animate a bit this thread, if you are interested in the development, please post your wishlist for NCP2 :)

Hey! and when will VGN2 be out?? :niark:

Joking aside, i think NCP could use a second installation better than AACW.
It has more "missing elements" than the ACW game which already has production of units and political elements and would benefit little of a diplomatic aspect.
Instead an NPC game with a really good diplomatic engine and a decent AI which would know how to use it could be an awesome game! :coeurs:
Let's hope VGN brings us this really good diplomatic engine :siffle:
Cheers

PS: Nikel, you should really try AACW. Its a great game! :coeurs:
It does not matter much that you are not specially interested on the ACW... i wasn't either a couple of years ago and now, after playing the game, i already have my own ever growing ACW book collection  :niark:

When we get to update 1.10d we can talk about a new game, which we will have to purchase as in BoA2. I prefer to encourage AGEod to continue to improve THIS game, as it is a fine game system, which I enjoy.

Yes arsan, the diplomatic engine.

Besides, this engine from what I have read here, seems to be essential for the full campaign (a must). A full campaign even from the french revolutionary wars :cwboy: Of course this will bring more generals (and protraits), units, events,...

But the fact that the diplomacy aspect is present, the military aspect from the regimental level cannot be lost. VGN level is the army corps, so I hope that NCP2 will not be VGN on the napoleonic era.

arsan about playing AACW, then I should abandon NCP, not enough hours in a day ;)

On a "technical" point I would like that AGEOD games support multicore processors

FM WarB, BOA was developed till 1.13d? So why should we resign ourselves with 1.10d? :niark: Now seriously, the future patches will include without doubt AI improvements, bug fixing, perhaps some hypothetical scenario,.. I hope that some changes in the map too, but NCP has not a dedicated cartographer as AACW (Gray_Lensman)

Forgot this, as aryaman and Stagira said, joining scenarios or Multi-front engagement

I have bought NCP some days ago but i confess it was more to support AGEOD than to really play with it.
In fact, i really hope for a v2 wich would cover the 1805-1815 campaign, includind events and foreign intervention as it is in ACW.

ACW is really a great game (even if i'm still surprised of some units interactions or battle results sometimes!) and i wait for the same kind of gameplay for NCP.

With the fine graphics and a command and supply system fully effective, i think that 80% of the job is already done so wait and see...
