Defeated General

What happens if a general's corps get destroyed completely? Does he escape to a nearby town everytime?

1* and 2* can be killed, if the units is completely destroyed. Otherwise they are wounded for 2-6 turns and recover in a nearby town, then return to the fight. :thumbsup:
