I'd love to purchase the game

Sat Jul 19, 2008 5:39 pm

Hi there!!

A couple of questions:

1. I have downloaded the demo and played a little, however I do not find the tutorial to be too enlightning, there is just a small comment at the start of the scenario and that is it.

2. I have tried to find the manual ... no luck ... does it come with the game when you purchase it?

3. Is it realy an easy game to play (even though it may be hard to master).

4. Is it possible to play online?

Thanks for your time and opinions.

Kantabricus.

Hi Kantabricus, and welcome to the forums :)

1) I haven't played the NCP tutorial myself, but the other games have tutorials that explain things step by step.

There is a very good introductory guide here, though, that is highly recommended: http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?t=7475

2) Yes. You can also download it from http://www.ageod-forum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=165

3) With the above guide and other material, it should be a smooth journey into the game :)

You can also turn to these forums to seek answers any questions you have about the game; I can't guarantee good answers to each and every question you may have, but people around here are generally helpful and more than willing to help people understand and enjoy these games :)

4) Not quite online, but you can play PBEM (made easier with the included ARES file exchange tool)

Hi Kantabricus!

1. I have downloaded the demo and played a little, however I do not find the tutorial to be too enlightning, there is just a small comment at the start of the scenario and that is it.
There should be 3 tutorial scenarios. In these scenarios the tutorial text boxes give you instructions what to do. There is a little arrow in each box. Click on it to switch to the next page.

2. I have tried to find the manual ... no luck ... does it come with the game when you purchase it?
You can find the newest manual here: http://www.ageod-forum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=165

3. Is it realy an easy game to play (even though it may be hard to master).
Well, this depends on your experience with strategy games. :sourcil:
You will need some time to learn the game mechanics but it is not overly complicated imho.
The least complex of our games is Birth of America 2 - Wars in America. If you are interested in this time period and theater too, I would recommend to try this game first. :)

4. Is it possible to play online?
Yes, this is possible via an tool provided with the game (You connect directly with your opponent. But there is no official AGEOD server with a list of potential players.). Most gamers do multiplayer via PBEM however.

Cheers
Norbert

Hi Kantabricus!

Are you spanish? (your nick seems to indicate it :siffle: )
If you are, there is an Spanish subforum for the game where you can ask in Spanish if you prefer
http://www.ageod-forum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=140

Myself and a bunch of other Spanish players will try to help :cwboy:
Regards!
