I decided to learn the game mechanics by playing Autsro-Russkis in sun of Austerlitz scenario. If I get my ass kicked by Athena, I will not feel bad, as I should lose this scenario as a newbie against a well trained AI
Turn one, Davout assaulted Ulm and Lost, suffering some 10,000+ casualties. Austrian morale went UP. I will lose most of the Mack force, but the attrition for the French is bad for them.
I am still figuring out how to create depots, and the supply mechanics, so I thought retreating would make that easier.
It looks like I as Erzherzog Karl and the Russkies may Win.
I post this as a contretemps to the compalining about how the French are too strong in other threads...Davout should have known better.
Will I enjoy my unecxpeted victory?...Of Course!
