active but stalled

Sat Feb 09, 2008 4:15 pm

For three weeks, in my Thames or Danube campaign, I have given attack orders to the Italian Army in Bergamo. The enemy forces are likewise in Bergamo. The Italian Army (Massena) has been active all three turns.

All three turns have passed with absolutely no action. Also no report in the weekly log about why. Just complete silence.

What could be causing this inaction?

Is your army or the enemy inside a city???
If you are inside you have to drag and drop it outside the city.
If the enemy is inside you have to give assault (red) orders.
If its not any of this... i don't have a clue :bonk:

Hmmmm another possibility... There is only your Army Stack on the region?? With no other corps on the region??
Army stacks never initiate combat alone. They defend and will support his corps on attack but don't attack by themselves...

Yes, for several of the turns, the Army stack alone was in the province. Thanks for the explanation.
