It works absolutely like those garrison units absorbing replacements.

What was the reason for changing this rule ? (in AACW brigades part of divisions get replacements, don't they ?? :8o: )

Not completely new elements, unless the receiving brigade is NOT part of a division, I think.

I've got a problem with a depleted French artillery detachment in my Austerlitz scenario. It's in a level 6 city, in passive mode and I do have artillery replacements available. BUT for the last three turns it doesn't seemed to have regained any strength. The city is not besieged and is loyal to the French.

Does replacement happen automatically or is there a percentage chance to determine the outcome of replacing or not??

I may be wrong about this, but do you have replacements available for it? IIRC, you should check your ledger and see.

Hope this helps.

It's ok Pocus I think I've got it - it's me being stupid. The replacements available weren't the same artillery type as the ones i wanted. Doh, sorry

Unless it is an intended design feature wouldn’t it be easier just to have the 3 basic types of replacements (ie. infantry, cavalry and artillery) and have units draw from that regardless of wether they are heavy or light or such?

Except still have separate for elite/guard units which should be harder to replace once gone.

I am bumping this thread in the hope that the scenarios will get reworked soon to include things like heavy cavalry replacements for all nations that need them, as well as some multinational replacements (like the Italians in the Spanish campaign).

I looked through the Historical Options for all nations for all scenarios, and not one includes Heavy Cav replacements.

There are some in the new 1805 and 1806-1807 scenarios in patch 1.03
The other scenarios will be updated with next patch :cwboy:
