Favorite Scenario Played So Far

Sat Nov 17, 2007 1:23 am

What scenario is your favorite so far and why? Mine is the 1805 England Invaded scenario. I think it probably underestimates the difficulty of La Grand Armee crossing the Channel, but it plays swiftly, just right for a lunch hour or two, and involves a very intriguing "what if " from history.

I agree but it's certainly more a matter of luck in the game if you manage to escape interception by English fleets. In this short scenario French objectives are rather simple to follow (not necessarily to achieve) and thus luck is more present here than in longer or more intricate scenarios.

I would assume so. I haven't tried that scenario as the British yet.

Yes and No, in first turns they send his transport ships against Dover, its suicidal because in Dover is the Home Fleet!!!!. when frenchs lose a lot of battles Napoleon with all corps of Grand Armee return to Paris :tournepas :tournepas , I send minimal forces to every french coastal cities and i took Le Havre y Boulogne, again french forces react and send my forces to sea, and again everybody returns to Paris :tournepas :tournepas Im crazy??? my game is crazy????

Not that crazy... assuming the French cannot get to London, the second most valuable asset for them is Paris, so the AI can analyze that reaching London being impossible, she must keep Paris, trying to go for a stalemate.. :cwboy:

Back to the original question.

My favorite scenario so far is 1809 as the French. You have a nicely organised Army and a lot of room to use it in. Your opponent is reasonably strong and willing to put up a good fight... If it weren't for the late game chasing down of small Austrian remnant forces (they even managed to take Warsaw as Ponniatowsky's corps was too depleted to act in the city's defense) that game would have been a hundred percent fun.
