editing unit stats

Tue Mar 11, 2008 1:44 am

First i would like to thank all who help me get started yesterday. Very good advice as I was actually able to make changes using cvssplitter. I changed the city stats for agusta Georgia to mirror NYC...lol Just to see if it worked.
Now Im trying to edit unit stats. For example . Change the att and def stats for csacavalry. I tried to use notepad on the model files but got error and crash on loading. Do i need to use the cvssplitter for this? And if so, hows it done? Appreciate any suggestions you might have.

Also im new to using the forums. Should i be opening new threads for each new question?

Models [the compnents of a unit] and Units [the thingies we see and move around] are in [you guessed it] two more databases. The best reason for using the DB here is the 'notes' imbedded give you a clue what the parameters do. :cwboy:

...IMHO separate threads get answers quicker, and don't go wandering off into Wolkencuckcucksheim [hijacked!] I've been advised to do 'one item per thread' to get answers to my script language syntax questions.
Try to make the thread topic clear, so we know what the question is!!!

It's my poor attempt at a German phrase I read about: it's where the 'loyal, but mostly dead, opposition' said Hitler spent most of his time.... :niark:

My [poor] understanding of it is 'Cloud CooKoo land', but your interpretation is probably better... :innocent:
The web translator BabelFish doesn't recognise it [surprise] :siffle:
