Probably totally unrelated, that same turn he returned, I tried to "beam" him to a location. I clicked on the wrong location. So I "beamed" him elsewhere and formed a corp using him.
When I ran the turn, the system CTD'ed. I sent the last two turn files to Pocus (support@ageod.com).
This was with 1.09 (not 1.09a).

It's random, depict anything from sickness ( Beauregard) to wounds or kills. Ican't exclude leaders killed by the complete loss of their force to reappear but it's in my eyes a minor inconvenience to get a system where your wonderful Grant or Lee can decede...
