Modding entrenchment levels/bonuses

I don't do much modding, but is it possible to lower the entrenchment bonuses? I find entrenchments a bit too powerful, especially when you know how to manipulate them. I'd like to lower Entrenchment bonuses by some %.

If that's not possible I'd like to lower 1861 entrenchment max to 2 and have it progress normally up to 6 or so by 1865. I see some variables in the .opt files that might do it, but I can't find any variable that shows how fast the entrenchment max increases. Has anybody ever tried this?

Look at the events file and search for this command

Beware this will have side effects about naval/land interaction as a minimum level for entranchment in necessary for artillery to block naval movement.
