Great work! I will start on some of these after I finish generals (probably September). My first priorities here are Brown, Maury, Tatnall, and for the USN, Cushing. Any other suggestions / requests on priorities?

Don't forget this rather famous blockade runner:

When you've just looked at a series of 19th century photographs, the thing that is really striking about the iconic 'Rhett Butler' headshot is that his moustache just doesn't seem right for the period. He also also looks like he's wearing some kind of hair cream or gel, which is fine for the 1930's, but seems a bit out of place in the 1860's.

I dunno, some of those chaps may have had some product in their hair, especially in peacetime. P.G.T. Beauregard was supposed to have black hair before the war, but greyed during the war as the blockade took hold and he ran out of whatever color he was using....

Seriously though, if most of these guys got added to a mod, the CSA would have more captains than boats. Three or four is plenty. I think the leader mod adds Tatnall only.

Still scratching my head over the shockingly subtle difference between the portraits of John McIntosh Kell and John.M.Mafitt. Boy, those Confederates sure were sneaky.

I think they were half brothers. It is an uncanny resemblance though.

As the character Rhett Butler was aparently based upon George Alfred Trenholm, it is probably worthwhile to include his portrait.

Did Butler do blockade running? I thought he only owned and supervised the operation, not being on the ships himself. Maybe I'll have to watch the movie again. Great movie by the way... I would have loved a civil war alt-history movie (a mix between Gettysburg, Gone With the Wind, Glory and the series North and South,) a triology featuring a victorious south... Probably wouldn't have become a blockbuster, but it sure would have made me drool :)

Cloning in 1860 - Or dare I say inbreeding?

In my opinion there is no difference and this is one portrait.
