1.08d Errors/Bugs, etc.

Thu Jan 17, 2008 8:40 pm

Before I complain, I first want to say that the game is better than ever. Rules of engagement is a big plus. I really like the historical attrition. And the music seems to be finally working as designed.

Playing the 1861 April Campaign as the CSA, I have noticed the following [most are not specific to the 1.08d patch, but still exist - all are relatively minor things]:

  1. Jeb Magruder's Command is not called that. It is a CSA Detachment. One must pull Magruder out of the stack and then put him back into it in order to get the stack to be called Magruder's Command.
  2. The Loyalty screen in the ledger is still reporting 0% loyalty in each states' rivers.
  3. The Sumter Force in South Carolina seems to have travel times from Charleston to Sumter that do not accurately reflect the weather conditions. For example, I have had results in mud conditions that take 9 days; conversely, in fair weather it can take that same stack 17 days.
  4. After the Emancipation Proclamation in late '62, a message appears stating that the CSA [rather than USA, I would think] have authorized Colored Mobilization. My Rebs become very distressed!!! :)
  5. While the Sioux around Laramie are locked, the "Ambush" button is lit up, appearing like it would work, only it doesn't. Maybe it should be grayed out?
  6. Belle Boyd Arrested event still listed twice in the message box.

That's it, so far ...

Thank you, again, for this great simulation of the American Civil War!

Hi richfed,

No problems, I know you like the game, and even if not, you have the right to complain :)

1. minor glitch perhaps when the scenario was redone last time, it should go away with the next export.
2. Fixed
3. Weird, this would mean the terrain matrix has an error never spotted before. I would need more tests from others people on that.
4. Fixed
5. Fixed

Thanks for the report.
