I`d also like to note, that RR from Memphis to Little Rock was not finished until 1871. When Civil War started line was ending somewhere at Madison (AR).

"Btw, upcoming patch (I think I can say this) will likely be having the railroad that runs down the VA peninsula towards Fort Monroe removed, but a historic (and important to the Peninsular Campaign from the CSA standpoint) railroad added between Richmond and Hanover. Thus, you will start to see right off the bat how planning ahead in such a crucial area next to a capital such as Richmond becomes important. No more blasting reinforcements down that ahistorical rail line now."

Hi chaps/PB I can see a rail line on the map between Richmond and Hanover but no link exists (1.07e). Was the artwork updated but the link missed?

If anyone knows can you let me know ASAP as it's such an important area of the game.

Cheers, Chris

The link was there in 1.07rc2, but the artwork had not been updated. So now it is the opposite? Probably got undone when the movement bugs from the rc's were removed.

Yes it seems to be the opposite then. Thanks Jab

Actually, now that I have had more time to think about it . . . the bug was that every railroad region connected to every physically adjacent railroad region, whether the appropriate adjacency entries existed or not. So, when I said the link was there, I was probably wrong. The adjacency entries have likely never been there, it was only 'working' due to the movement bug.

OK I'll add the RR link in my game as it looks like it should be a link, I assume somebody will add this to the game officially?

I added TransLink3 = 136|1 to the Richmond file and TransLink0 = 147|1 to the Hanover file but units still refuse to move by rail between these 2 zones. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. We have been fighting to play a single PBEM turn without a problem for 2 weeks now!

doh! TransLink, not adjacency; but I see that you knew what I meant . . . don't know why that wouldn't work.

I think it might be something to do with the posts in the link below but I don't understand them well enough.

rgn files represent invariant data for a given game. Scenarios data are variable by essence.

This is an intentional repost/quote from another thread where I had mistakenly posted it. My apologies for any confusion.

I found this 1859 map while searching on the web for information regarding the actual pre-civil war state of Rail lines.

Looks quite interesting and seems to agree with some other civil war games of similar scale.

If this is accepted, it could form the basis for a complete rework of the Rail lines in AACW.

Sorry if I revive this thread but I think there is a small error in Hardin, WV. You can destroy and repair a railroad there but you cant see it or get benefits from it. Can easily provide a screenshot of it if needed.

Quite all right... There had been a rail line previously in 473 Hardin, WV. This was in error, and it was graphically removed. However, there is also information concerning the TransportLvl of the region that was inadvertently left as is (defining it as Railroad region). This was an oversight on my part and has been corrected in the Database files and new (.scn) files have been generated. These will be in the next RR Accuracy MOD release, which add on to v1.09e. Note: The current RR Accuracy MOD (20080328) does not yet contain these fixes.
