Do I install Pocus's patch first or just this one?

I noticed the same thing as Mr T, namely that double-clicking the red message doesn't bring up the battle report. So it's not just him.

MrT wrote:okay i have to say the new battle style is a joy to behold :) with the thick black font, HOWEVER you can no longer double click the red battle link and see the normal battle review panel! I think thats not soooo good if its intentional (especailly for PBEM), if not then its a error lol.

Definitely a bug ... you can't open any of the messages. :(

Oops, an unwanted side effect indeed.

There will be a comprehensive patch, but not until we finalize 1.14... Now on to rc21!

Hot from the oven, here is rc21. Single executable, replace the former. If no bug spotted by the end of the day, it will be official.

I played as the USA in the 4/1861 w/KY campaign, and I got to the turn when the USA gets a free balloon. I clicked on the event line once, and the screen centered on the Atlantic blockade box. The balloon automatically relocated to Rockland, NJ.

I think that balloon event has been weird like that for a while, with the random redeployment.

Thank you, Mr. Pocus!!!

Quick run-through notices no obvious problems. And still no crashes!!!!! Looks like it is pretty stable ... and ... dare I say it ... ready for officialization.

---> Side Note: Related to enf91's observation for balloons ... same for the appearance of the Orphan Brigade. More often than not, the message does not take you to the actual place the brigade appears. Same for the new feature of automatically promoted generals. I'll get the message, but clicking on it takes me to Richmond on the map, no matter where the general in question actually is.

By official, do you mean that it will replace 1.13B? :w00t:

I bought this game weeks ago but have been waiting for a better (non beta) patch to get started into a long campaign.

Wait a few hours and a new thread will give you a link to the new official patch.

Sir Paul weighs in

Thu Jul 09, 2009 7:31 pm

Upon news of the imminent release of the latest official patch, Paul McCartney was heard to say,

"I've got to admit it's getting better
A little better all the time
It can't get no worse
I have to admit it's getting better, it's getting better
Since ver. 1.09"

Thanks to everyone involved in development of the new patch, mates.

Hmm the Signal units seem to randomly appear now on the map, as far as i was aware before they always came in your capital?

ah ah i had not realised that because i would say from personal experience that 98% of the time they appear in your capital. Is that a purposeful bias or is just a quirk within the system? (given that they are set to appear everywhere)

Also point two:- Is it possible to have the ''Alliance with Native Americans'' (turn early Sept 1861) news event no longer focus on Richmond, Richmond VA but focus on Fort Gibson, Gibson IT which is were they spawn?
