What would be the advantage in playing the game with 2 separate installations where you would actually have to move the orders files from one app to the other vs hotseat by switching players at the in-game loading screen?

Seems to me, playing hotseat with a single app would be a lot easier. :bonk:

I played hot seat games against one of my nephews. However having one installation proved to be inadequate especially when we both at later stages in game needed more think time to make moves. As sometimes free time is at a premium the progress of game got really bogged down. The only way around it was to have 2 seperate installations and we could e-mail each other when we had completed our respective moves - especially convenient when we are on different work schedules for most of week - it is only really at weekends we can get down to the serious hot seat business of slaughtering the male populations of 1860s America?

But you are right hotseat with single app is a lot easier - it is just sometimes not convenient.

It exists 2 important commands in the script engine that truly allow the AI to think differently, and Clovis did good work with them in his mod, if I understand well.

I agree that maybe it should be clearer. But if this is all for a screen to say: YOU WON!!! What's the big deal?
