Division's Changing ???

Knowing, I am a bit too particular about some compulsive traits, and stating in advance this is the very best far and away game I have ever found in the Genre. One bug is driving me insane! My Divisions change numbers, I have 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th all in a Corp in NVA, then whamo, 3rd turns into 9th, and some Divison just created far away from Nva becomes 3rd?? Also I have 1st thru 5th (without) 3rd already in the grand campaigne and then 3rd is created way out west before the units I want to create the 3rd with unlock. Can there be a way to assign Division numbers manually and lock them, so I can create my Divisions where I want them, not just by the order created.

I 've never seen them change of their own accord but they do change if you dissassemble them and then create one elsewhere it will take the lowest unused number. It can be a problem if you dont have an active commander to reassemble the division.
Like you I like to keep my divisions identity intact!

Some day in the future we'll get the ability to rename our units at will. Not yet, though.
