Serial Number

How long does it take for them to e-mail the serial number to you. I downloaded, but forgot to write down serial number cause my kids were running around with knives and guns -- okay, maybe not that bad.

Anyway -- do they e-mail same day as you buy? How do I retrieve if they don't e-mail?
