Nathaniel Greene/ American partisans

Mon Mar 20, 2006 4:38 am

I've yet to come across Nathaniel Greene through playing as either the Americans or Brits. Are there certain parameters that cause him to appear?

Also with the American partisans in South Carolina.... are there parameters that cause their appearance? Thanks.

Greene appears in january 1776 in the Providence region, along with a Rhode Island militia.

Partisans appears in reaction of english presence in their area (for the soutern partisans or the mountain boys). If they do, it will be in any region not enemy-occupied, in the area.

Hope it clears the things a bit.

Nathanael Greene appears in the North indeed in 1776. Historically, he was sent South by George Washington in late 1780 to take over from Lincoln after the latter was badly mauled by Cornwallis at Camden. He conducted a campaign of harassment against the British in the Carolinas and, although he almost never won a clear victory, he won the campaign for sure :cwboy:

An excellent short book on the Guilford Courthouse campaign is "Another Such Victory." Greene lost every battle but won the campaign. :)

Does Greene appear in the 1776 Campaign in Providence as well? I've played from January 1776 through the early summer several times, and have yet to come across Greene. Thanks.

MIA in 1.04 yes, sorry. We are working on the 1.05, but perhaps we will make an update on the scenarios before, as 1.05 is still a bit empty (demo and such took us some time).
