Two George Washingtons?

I have been playing the 1775 campaign as the Americans in BOA and was doing quite well. I had complete control of the Deep South by 1778, and the French intervened in early 1778.

Just before Winter of 1778, as I was taking control of New England and gaining back in the middle states, I saw events that an army to invade Canada had been formed in Ticonderoga. I then noticed that a French fleet with an expedition force was near New England, and the leaders looked familiar. Then, I saw a second continental army led by another George Washington in New England and I figured something had gone wrong with the game.

I have the save folder from this game if you would like to see it. I may have upgraded from 1.11 to 1.12 while playing the campaign, so we could just chalk it up to an upgrade problem; but it sure was odd to see George Washington in two places at the same time!
