Game crashes on loading

I am in a Saratoga game of which four turns have run normally without a glitch. However, upon loading the fifth turn from my opponent, the game crashes. I tried several times. I asked my opponent to replay the turn, but is there any idea what this could be? Thanks.

Thank you, sir, very kind. What five files exactly are you referring to? I want to avoid sending you all the stuff in the game subfolder if possible.

There are 5 files: the HST file, the two TRN files and the two ORD files, for a given turn.
It would be better anyway to send me the whole saved game, including backups. Thanks.

note: always exchange files zipped, when you PBEM, this can prevent file corruption.
