The War That Made America

Wed Jan 11, 2006 6:28 pm

For those of you living in the USA and interested in this game and time period, be advised that the Public Broadcasting System will air a two part nationwide special on the French and Indian War - 1/18/2006 and 1/25/2006.

See: http://www.thewarthatmadeamerica.org/ for more information.

Any idea when this will be rebroadcast? I seem to have missed it and can't find anything else on the PBS website.

The February viewing schedule is not out as of this writing. I would assume that any re-run will be a regional one instead of a nationwide showing though. But if I see anything regarding a rebroadcast, I'll post it.

I taped this and the little I saw as I passed through the room where it was being taped made me look forward to when I have a good night to kick back in the Lazyboy, fire up some popcorn, and lay into some nice cold Dos Equis. I also just received three DVDs from Amazon; one of which is Barry Lindon, so I have much viewing pleasure awaiting me. The other two DVDs are The Duelist and The last Valley. Earlier I received March or Die. Life is so short.

OK, so in anticipation of the release of BOA, I finally watched all of The War That Made America and was quite impressed. :indien: Very informative and entertaining. It has really stoked my desire to acquire BOA. I went with Asahi instead of Dos Equis by the way; drank that last weekend.

Very Interested also. Looking forward to this game.

Hope it sells well so that it can receive the attention (aftermarket) it deserves. I would like to see a scenario editor so I can make my own "what if" engagements.

:indien:
Thanks
Wayne
