Game Improvements

Sat Aug 12, 2006 9:47 pm

After playing the game a little more I would like to reiterate a couple of points that have been made before by other players :-

1. It is very difficult to remember what units you have lost after a battle - especially if you only play once or twice a week. A summary screen showing losses so far and losses in the previous turn would be a great help.
It would also be nice to know exactly why points have been awarded each turn.

2. It's daft that you can be a couple of days sail away from a landing point but you have to wait until the next turn to disembark troops. I don't want them to stay aboard for a month - the French ships will do my troops serious harm in that time! (They just did)

Cheers, Chris

1. Agreed. A list of losses would be very helpful.

2. I have no problem with the game as is on this point. Given the vagaries of wind and weather, seaborne operations were far from efficient in those days.

1. Its on our wishlist for the next game (and it would then be added too in BoA). It will depends on time left.

2. Same as (1) but more certain. A "distant unload order" is planned.
