How to merge units in cities?

I even bought the game via Gamersgate and started the 1755 campain. After playing a while with my units, I had 4 armies in my city instead of one. How to merge them again? No problem to go out of town with them, merge them there with drag and drop and walk back in the city. But there are also fixed units...
(Ok I admit, not really a question to brag with my intellect... )

Hi Primasprit, just click and drag the army tab on the army display panel onto the tab you wish to merge into.
