This new demo includes:

BoA Tutorial.
One full year of the Great Campaign (1775-1783). All features are enabled during this game (but limited to one year).
The PDF manual.

What's more for whose who want you can continue playing your current demo saved game with the full game Great campaign 75. In order to do this, see the Armory section for further instructions.

Some advices
a) read the manual, at least the hot keys page. There is also a thread on the forum with the hotkeys list, and a FAQ.
b) After having completed the tutorial, try the GC, but beware, the English are strong in the begining, they are probably the easiest side at start.

Time for BoA and FL to go head to head this holiday! :)

Although I suspect for many, the decision will be one of game format as opposed to UI, AI, gameplay, and artwork. Basically, hex/UGO versus regions/WEGO. Of course, FL also adds tactical battles which ups the ante for those who love to micro-manage.

It would be interesting to see a detailed comparison of the two independent of the game format aspect. Might make an interesting thread or article for the wargamer.com.

A Battlefront game released today (July 4th) dealing with the Independence War and using new version of the 1848 engine.

I tried 1848 but I did not really get caught by the gameplay and the graphism.
