Envelope orders icon

I have a question about the envelope icon...I read that it darkens when a commander or troops are out of command, but it seems to always look the same on the unit playing pieces. The only way I can tell if a unit is penalized is if I roll-over the envelope icon on theunit bar at the lower right...some units simply dont have the icon next to them. Am I doing something wrong?

Good question.. I don't even understand the whole envelope thing.. Maybe someone can explain it? Some troops seem to ALWAYS have it on.

What I am saying is, I only ever see bright envelopes. Sure, when I mouse-over the envelope on the forces bar at the bottom right, it tells me that they are under command or not...I only see bright envelopes or none at all.

I notice more brown envelopes when playing the brits...Valentine seems like a particularly lazy reader...

yes, the British leaders have an average strategic rating (3.5) much lower than the US ones (4.75)...so the British will be a bit more "apathic"....looks like history

yes there is a slight discrepancy here:

a) on the regiment panel, the envelope is brown when the leader is not activable (reminder: a non activable leader can still move, slowly, but cant do much else)

b) on the MAIN MAP a non activable leader dont have the envelope and an activable stack (or one without leader but who dont need commands points, like indians) have a bright envelope.

If this discrepancy confuse you (and some others!), no problem in adding a darkened envelope on the main map.
