Moving Units with Bateaux

Mon Apr 20, 2009 6:10 pm

Perhaps I overlooked a thread addressing this. If so, I apologize. Here's my dilemna. I planned to move a unit by bateaux along the river, which says it takes 15 days. When I try to unload the unit from the bateaux to have it then march by land, instead of giving me a length of time with part boat and part land I am given only the length of time it takes to do the whole move on land. Does this description make sense? It seems like I can only do one or the other each turn but not a combination of the two. So the unit ended up traveling by bateaux for 15 days, but then just sitting in the boat. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you in advance for any responses.

Patrick

IIRC, nothing wrong.

In BoA, there is no 'distant unload' [feature is added in BoA2] so you can't load and unload in the same turn.....
Always ask yourself: "Am I part of the Solution?" If you aren't, then you are part of the Problem!
