Availability

Fri Nov 18, 2005 8:11 am

Hi there,

Will this game be available in stores or only through order? If it is available in stores, is there any way to find out if this game will be sold in specific stores in specific countries (in my case, Canada)?

this game looks like it has potential.

Thanks,

Patriotes

We do not plan to activiely and directly sell the game to retail shops (unless those shops order from them of course).

This game is mostly aimed at the North American market and we will be pleased to help you get it quick and safe.

The boutique for the game ordering should be opened in December and you will be informed about it.

May be you can register to our newsletter to get the latest news at http://www.ageod.com/newsletter/index-en.php#

Thanks for the interest and support

You can get the game from wherever you live...when ordering starts, place it on our website and the delivery will be made to you (for UK, 3-4 days maximum I would say).

Units are regiment-based, with different bataillons, each with its set of men. We are rather close to the actual number of troops thing, but it is still abstracted a bit :bonk: .

I would say 2 hours for the Grand Campaign if you play fast and knows the game well. Because it is turn-based, it can be any length... :sourcil:

This is excellent news. Mayny were disheartened by the lack of distribution for Great Invasions, but this new method will solve that problem! I would recommend allowing payment throught PayPal, too, besides just credit cards.

Hello, I´m a strategy/wargamer from Sweden. Must say this game looks awsome!!
Maybe it reminds a bit of Europa Universalis....
Really hope I can get hold of a copy of this game here in Sweden :)

Yes, digital download sounds like the best option for many Europeans I guess.
No waiting for the package, and added cost of customs. :cwboy:

As a beta tester, I can add that some already set up scenarii can be played in no more than 20 minutes.

They are really really breath taking, with ie: taking command of patriots in the swamps of Carolinas to defend Charleston.

Nothing better than being a swamp fox before going to bed... if you can resist getting up to play again!!! :cwboy:

sounds great but i must admit i prefer games that last a few evenings, is this style of play (I.E. longer, more detailed campaigns) catered for?

thanks

It was scheduled for end of January...we still hope to do so. At worst, it will be 15 days delay if we have a difficulty to get the manufacturer print the CDs on time. :grr:

Help

If I wanted to purchase the game when it is available - will it be shipped from somewhere in N.America?

I live in Texas USA - Do you have a US distibution network in place?

Is Digital Download a possibility?

Will the game require the Disk to be in the disk drive when playing?

Any expansion Plans or add-on's to this game in the works? A Scenario editor would be great so that the users could make scenario's and share them with each other.
Thanks
Wayne

the game is sold online, with direct download being finalized.

For the moment, we only concentrate on BoA, with new free contents in patches too, we will see what the future hold for us after the initial month of release.

Making a scenario is rather easy, you only need a small utility and a software than can read XLS file. The script to create units and new events is very easy to learn.

the gold CD will be sent for duplication this friday (17), and the download will be in place tuesday (21) normally. If everything goes well, it means that people who have asked for a digital version can have it the 21.
As for the physical copy, I dont know which delay the burning company asks for duplication and package creation. Add on that the posting delay...

edit: I know that some of you are impatients to try the game, but its very important for us to have a very high quality product even in the initial release. We wont do as some others have done, ie releasing half-backed game in which the 1.00 is more akin to a late beta.

No rush; take your time and get it right. We can wait a few more days. Nobody wants to pay to be a beta tester.

Purchase Options

Fri Feb 17, 2006 9:55 am

Hi! I am confused about how the game can be purchased. Perhaps a couple straight forward questions can clear things up.

1. Is a digital download option included when I purchase the CD from ageod?

2. Can the game be purchased as a digital download only (no CD)?

Regards ...

From next wednesday, you will be able to buy in digital ONLY version from our website. The price will be 30 euros, but as it is VAT included, you non-French will pay 25.08 euros, more or less 31$

We plan to offer later on (early March) the option to buy the box + CD upgrade to those who bought the digital-only version. The cost will be the price difference between physical and digital (i.e. 3.00 euros) plus of course the postal costs to your place... :king:

I guess this is clearer for you now :innocent:
