I thought the second number was the ammo stockpile, but I'm not an expert on the game.

Here's something that I noticed helps with the between-turns processing time: Before ending your turn, move the map view to an "empty" part of the map (undiscovered Africa is best). I usually run with the debugging information turned on, which shows how much time is spent rendering, and on busier pa...

I found another problem related to this type of event. Later in the same game, I was similarly granted a protectorate in the colony of Sudwest Afrika, whose capital is in Windhoek. However, at the this this occurred, I had not explored Windhoek, so I cannot see the province. I assume that the event ...

I think we need to improve this aspect by writing recurring events that sap heavily accumulated balances on every possible resource. Current script commands allow for that relatively easily. More important is to find the ideal recipe. Doesn't this already happen through "corruption and wastage" eff...

I have my doubts that there is actually any direct relationship between tax levels and contentment. Across 25 years I've set my Consumption Tax level at 1%, 2%, and 3% without detecting any difference in the frequency with which I receive "high tax" messages or the contentment losses that I suffer....

Protectorate mysteriously transferred to France?

I'm playing a game as Prussia (now Germany) and my protectorate of Congo has (in late 1880) suddenly acquired 80% French colonial penetration (trumping my own 56%) in the colonial capital of Gabon and has become a French protectorate. Is this normal colonial gameplay, or some kind of (badly written)...

Hi guys, we're sorry you are having problems. We don't have any time set aside right now for PoN bug fixes but I'll talk with the team and see if there is anything that can be done. It would be nice to be able to play this game one day without having it crash irrecoverably, but I don't hold out muc...

I can't say I've had that specific problem with the map, as I don't click to scroll the map - but I have similar problems when I try to move a window (e.g. the Trade "T" window or the Assets "B" window) - I have to move the mouse very slowly, otherwise the mouse will "slip" off the window, the drag ...

My top 3 concerns (in order) are: (1) I would like to play without having to restart the game following a crash every 2-3 turns. The fact that I'm willing to keep trying, though, says something about the game's potential :) (2) Clearer explanations about why colonial decisions fail (and/or more clar...

9 times out of 10, this means that there is a local military unit (maybe hidden by FOW) in the province. The AI is quite good about moving it s units around to do this. Same thing happens with trading posts. Only way round it is to have one of your military units in the same area. Ah is that the re...
