Yes, it just requires manpower (volunteers) and time .... I know, but first thing first : We are counting on you to make War of Successions a great, stable, moddable and fun wargame. If the engine works smoothly and quickly enough, than in a second time I am sure something could be done to make the...

I honestly think that it would be easier time and programmation wise to build a War of Napoleon mod on the war of succession engine than to try to reverse engineer WON into a simpler 2 side game : the data and historical info largely exists based on WON, whereas trying to change WON into a 2 side ga...

It would be suboptimal, but I honestly think it would be easier to do than fixing the hydra that WON is.

Since this is Napoleon game two... The two sided game is an excellent idea in my mind... and selling as a dlc for cost coverage makes sense... just fix it! I think to be honest it'd be very hard to fix... better off injecting the data (unit names, leaders, etc...) in a new game such as war of succe...

I agree with MarshalJean as I have said it previously.. this game will remain a very painful experience because of the "what if".. Only Napoleon 1813 by Empire back in 1999 elicited so much hope and so much despair ! Too bad because the chrome (units, leaders, map, etc) is superbissimo. I look forwa...

Yup; this was the old way of use. Don't know why it changed. Hi Philthib, the problem remains, I just tried posting a reply to the post by Liarfox on the features of the new game and it's waiting for moderation. This is really bad as it stalls the forum : LiarFox's message is 19hours old and has no...

Thanks. So my understanding is that this is a title working with the old Ageod engine, going back to WIA basics which is where the engine worked the best, so that the studio can get a game out while working on the new engine for future big games right ? good, I might buy it so that I have a nice gam...

Because these are news from Ageod... therefore you must be moderated if not a member of the company. Forum default rule. We'll check in the future how to improve that point I perfectly understand that only AGEOD could start threads in this section, makes perfect sense, but you would think that once...

why aren't messages in the "news from Ageod" forum published ?

I contributed to the thread about the new wars of succession game but I see that messages have to be moderator approved before posting. This isn't a positive development in terms of consumer dialogue....

+1, in the old WON threads I also pointed at how control of key fortresses over some chokepoints (rivers notably) should be essential for effective campaigning and fortress control and overtaking should be a central feature of this game.

This is not a good game. It's a good idea for a game in genre in need of a good game. But it was a mistake to try to shoehorn multiple historical wars into a single "campaign." And the old engine is showing its age. And the reach of the tiny AGEOD team has long since exceeded its grasp -- they rema...

We understand your concerns. However, as we mentioned earlier many times, we are a very small team with low time available on the "old" Ageod engine, because 99.9% of our resources are committed to the new engine development. The time we give to the game ( and we do give quite a lot despite what so...

@veji1: I share your point of view of course, but... You're better take the bike off the garage and ride on your own legs instead, meanwhile. You'll have much more fun than playing PCM2013 (or buggier PCM2016), no contest! If you're fit enough, maybe we could even consider to climb together up to h...

Pocus is on vacation at the moment, he will look into this early Auguest when he comes back the simplest way would be just to put a check on minors' troops so that all troops that aren't fixed units or fortress arty, coastal battery, or depot unit automatically become exp forces lent to the main po...

btw if this can't be properly fixed, it would be great to have some sort of forced command one could use in the console to circumvent this, where one could just designate AI minor units to be lent.

The devs need to reproduce what is going wrong and how. To do so, they need at least 2-3 turns of save, starting with the turn when you send the request, and then next or 2 next turns, to check what the engine is doing with it. It seems the request is processed ok but the execution fails and we nee...

Did you make a save of when this happened, and the turn before. Pocus needs it to check what is wrong what saves do you need, it just occurred again with Baden and Wurtemberg. It is, and sorry for the harsh words, really unacceptable close to 8 months after the game came out that this sort of basic...

I like this idea very much. The AJE series has it, when a minor nation becomes your ally, you get full control over their unlocked forces. It works very well. This is more or less what Vicberg's mod tried to do, although because of how the engine is set up, he had to make it a full annexation to ma...
