North, simply because trying to win with McClellan is quite the task. And I know that he sucks, but then, that's the reason why I use him. More challenging if the Army of the Potomac is commanded by him than Grant.

Revolution under Siege Confirmation E-mail and Serial

On December 31st, I bought Revolution under Siege, yet I didn't receive the confirmation email with the serial. Thinking that maybe it was because of the festivities, I waited until this tuesday, January 4th to send an email asking why I had't received the confirmation e-mail with the serial. Just i...

Haha, true, here in Venezuela we put up with military leaders for the first 128 years of our country. Is there any way I can give you information about latin American generals without crowding the forum. Also, VEN is more used than VNZ, but I'm not a developer, so it doesn't matter. If VNZ is easier...

Von Moltke was exactly the general I had in my mind. I didn't really know who Thomas is (more of a WWII guy here, from the Great War I only know some general in the Western Europe theater), so I just decided to check his biography at wikipedia (quite the general, I must say). Ah, to give my little b...

I'm happy for all summer if you tell me one general with his ratings and skills that we can identify from previous games. That way we'll have something to discuss (like the officer room in AACW). Of course, if you cannot do it, then there's no problem, but if you can put one general, then you'll mak...

Well, after fighting a battle at Gettysburg playing the Gettysburg scenario today, I found it quite strange that my AoNV didn't retreat after the first battle on day 7 like they always did on previous patches. Now, that sole battle on day 7 had 11,015 casualties: 5196 men, 2,029 horses my side and 5...

17 about to turn 18. Started playing AACW 3 years ago (I think). My first board game was... hum... does Risk count? :neener: My fist computer war gmae (also my first computer game to play as far as I remember) was age of empires 2, after that it's been a bunch of games, with AACW, Rome: Total War an...

Well, as long as the conditions are identical (which also means commanding general), the bde. should fight the same. Maybe someone more knowledgeable could answer better?

Well, it's not that you need the save files, since I haven't even played a turn on the campaign. Just go to AACW main menu, select new game, then select 1864: Bloody Roads South (2 Theater Campaign). Choose the Union side, and before doing anything in the campaign, go to both of the regions and you'...

I just noticed that there's a Union general repeated on the 1864 campaign.

Edward Ord appears twice:

Edward Ord, commanding Mississippi Command, in Shelby, TN
Edward O. Ord, commanding the 13th Corps, in Beaumont, TX

Are they two different people?

Thanks in advance for the answer

Really great information, but if I may say, I don't know why you haven't fought a battle with really huge loss in manpower. I had one between a corps of two divisions (total: 17,432 men, 3,456 horses, 84 cannons) against a confederate independent command of 3 divisions and two extra generals (total:...

Chain of Command

Well, here is another question (I'm only making it because I couldn't find the answer anywhere in the forum): How will the Chain of Command work? I mean, will there be a special command for 4-star leaders? I ask this because considering that armies will be a lot bigger now than in the other games, t...

Historic Generals

Morning AGEOD team. It has come to my mind a simple question that I would like to ask: Will there be historic generals in the game? There are many historical generals that should at least be in the game. Just to give out some examples: Helmuth von Moltke the Elder FitzRoy Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan ...

Well, I ws walking in an fnac in Madrid and saw the last copy of AGEOD AACW on the stand, and I said to myself:

"I've never played a good American Civil war game, and that one looks pretty good, plus it's the last copy so it MUST be good"

And then I bought it

Good evening, fist time posting :) In my Bull Run Scenario, some Confederate brigades are also extremely overpowered, as Hasardeur pointed out before. In my case they were: Longstree's Bde.: 594 Cocke's Bde.: 364 Both brigades have 7 elements after fully reinforcing: 4 Inf, 1 Cav, 1 Light Art. and 1...
