The problem isn't that Steam is giving away FT2*, it is that they are having their HUGE summer sale and are almost giving games away. All of their servers are pretty stressed ATM. They do this a couple of times a year and it is almost impossible to even download the stuff you buy during the sale, th...

Updated Leaders pdf

Someone made an updated pdf of all of the Leaders in the game. I used to have it but seem to have lost it at some point and I can't find it again.

Does anyone have a link to it?

Thanks. :)

I don't think there is any difference between the 2 types of Depots.

The best way to make money is to sell goods to either your citizens on the national Market or to other countries through the trade menus. Taxes don't seem to get you very much money, at least early in the game.

Your national population can only buy so much of an item, so while making them the first priority they may not be able to take all of your surplus.

The Delete key will cancel the last plotted move, it is a nice and quick fix for when you accidentally drop a unit on the southern edge of the map instead of on that other damn tab. :bonk:

This is the official RoP Wiki http://www.ageod.net/agewiki/Main_Page Depot units are in your units to be recruited when you click the recruit button. Then look for these units with most countries units near the militia. Thank you for the answer and the link. I should have been more specific though....

Also is there a Wiki for RoP?

'S' will put a unit on Sentry duty and won't be included when you scroll with those keys, finding that recently saved me a lot of time.

1. You gain some CS from battles. As your units take damage, some fraction of the damage is added to your CS pool. I believe this would be for the wounded, who go back into the army later. 170 seems to be a lot from this method however. I only remember seeing 10-20 points added (but it would depend...

Couple more random questions, hope dolphin doesn't mind: 1. Late September 1863, in my Union PBEM game I gained ~170 extra CS for no apparent reason. No draft, no call for volunteers, no events listed in the history. It was an incredibly bloody turn, but there wasn't much change in territory. Anyone...

Thanks for all the input so far, the game slowed down quite a bit the last few days so we haven't moved much from this point. Another question. At what point does a unit pillage/forage? The first turn they can't pull FULL supply from a source? The first turn they can't pull ANY supply from a source?

Should be ok yes. You don't need to be in offensive to blockade. Besieged town only produce meager supply, but he still control the countryscape, so can pillage it for an extra turn of supply (done automatically). Ah, I forgot about foraging. Darn it. Dont underestimate CSA options. He can manually...

Interesting problem. Can I ask if it is SP or PBM? Is Paducah a depot, and if so what were its levels of stock before being cut off? Did the town produce any supply of its own? This is a PBM game. I don't think he comes to these forums. You better not be reading this Zoidberg. :cursing: Paducah is ...

Another Supply question, or 10

Ok not so much a question as a validation that I know how it works. First off let's make sure this is right: ⋅ The host clicks 'End of Turn' ⋅ The 3 phase Supply Distribution Phase starts ⋅ Units take supply from nearby sources ⋅ Day 1 of 15 and unit movement ...

Question on recruiting and stances

Two (hopefully) quick ones: 1. When you pay a bounty for men when you Call for Volunteers, is that money you spend considered in the projected totals for next turn? It doesn't seem to be but i haven't really studied it. 2. I have an Army HQ anad multiple Corps in one region. The Corps commanders are...

Corps operating outside of Army range

What are the negatives to a Corps operating outside of the Army leader's command radius? Is it just that they don't benefit from the 3-star general's stats and traits? For example, McClelland is in Maryland guarding the approaches to DC and I create a Corps under him with a decent-to-good 2-star gen...

I haven't seen a hard number, it seems to be based on the Army leader's Strat rating. I did read somewhere that this number is usually so high that you don't need to be concerned about it.

So it takes that NM hit into account that turn? That would explain it, this was the first time I had enough money to use all of my CS on the turn I drafted.

You don't actually merge them. You just need an active 3-star general and an HQ in the same stack to create an army. You just click the Form Army button. Corps don't need an HQ at all. You just need an active 2-star general in the range of an Army and then click the Form Corps button. http://i195.ph...

Purchased brigades didn't appear

I have just noticed a problem in my PBEM game. It is early '63 so hopefully it isn't game-breaking. In Early Jan I had my Draft/Call for Volunteers. I then built a total of 82 units, army and navy. The picture is hard to read: 42 regular, 1 Irregular, 3 Cavalry, 28 Artillery, 1 Support, 4 River Ship...

In my current game I had recruited a bunch of units in Ohio, of course that turn the Rebels landed a good sized Corps just outside of Cincinnati, where a bunch of the units showed up. IIRC I had 2 Sharpshooters, 2 Cannons and a 2IN/1Cav/1LtArt brigade appear in Cincy. I really didn't have any hope o...
