I can't help you if you modified the original files. All I can tell you is the original game files as installed enable divisions to be formed starting 1861/10/01 and that is with any general regardless of how many stars. Also, if you are modding the game files, it's best to post those types of ques...

It's all one stars. None of them can form divisions. I did modify the Events file for the 1861 scenario to allow more than 60 divisions using the instructions I found here on the forums. Maybe I did that wrong. I also modded the number of HQs allowed at the start, and increased the number of units a...

Mar 1862, no Divisions allowed yet

Unit Descriptions

Can someone point me to information that describes the capability of each unit?

Things like Infantry and Artillery are sorta no-brainers, but, what does a MED unit do for you? Signal Unit?

Bad Weather...hmmph

Ok Ok...I get the idea behind the weather angle. However... In the winter of '61-62, I lost virtually half of my Union riverine naval forces due to bad weather or lost due to a storm. Is this common? Is it an annual ritual to buy a new navy each spring? BTW, I'm currently suffering the entire, and I...

Playing my first real game as Union, by the end of 1863 I had captured the entirety of Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, most of Georgia (including Atlanta/Augusta/Savannah), the Atlantic coast of Florida, all of Mississippi, Mobile and North Alabama. So when February came around and N...

In any case I can always hope!

How about an "E=MC2 TROOPER", or "Pepperoni pizza"?

(if anyone knows what those are....)

Tally Ho!

ALT+Left Click does the trick. I'm using an English keyboard. At the risk of sounding like an arrogant American, I never thought there would be a difference in key functions.

Uh oh...when I CTRL+left click on a tab, or any icon on the map (stack), the name box does not appear, but the focus cycles through each "tab" in the region.

Am I mis-reading something?

How to rename units

Is there a way to rename units? In v1.14 somtimes, but not always, a box box pops up and asks if I want to rename the unit after clicking on the unit tab. This apparently is a one time deal. I've just started playing this game, so pardon the newbi-ness if there's an obvious way to do this (it ain't ...
