Tried it again with all combinations. With your borderless one only the tip of the stack panel icons show, with all the others where that is fine the problem remains. Probably due to text size. What size is your windows font set to? I've been messing with resolutions and font settings a lot these p...

Thank you for the explanation about supply, don't recall seeing the multiply tool-tip supply by five before (but of course may have just missed it) so this is really valuable information. -C Rule 10.2 covers supply production, the 5 points per chit (I’ve been referring to chits as supply levels, th...

Why don't you build a depot where Pompey is sitting? You own the province, so you can keep building a massive depot rather than shuttle wagons around, right? The city already has a level 4 depot (max allowed), so I can’t increase it any further. I’m in sort of a dilemma as Pompey is strong enough t...

Thanks for the great answer - I managed it also even though supply was short with building level 4 depots ;-D What do I need to do to gain a major victory - I had conquered all objectives and even invaded Rome as Pontus - but still only a minor victory at the end...? It's all about time and options...

You need to remember supply carts eat supply too, lots of it. It is far better to burn 4 carts and create a level 4 depot in the region you are trying to defend then to keep the carts on map once their supply is used. I generally never have more than 2-4 carts with a big army as the increase in supp...

Octavian vs. Anthony gets my vote, but make it 10+ years long as I doubt a large decisive naval battle will occur very often in most games. You could create lots of what if events to get most of the other nations on map in play as well, it could rival Caesar vs. Pompey in scope. [ATTACH]35009[/ATTAC...

Could be lacking in resources or possibly the resource isn't available yet. Rubber and Oil both appear later in game, there might be others. The 1880 scenario is a good one to load up to check a region to see if it has any resources available. I think most if not all possible resources are already s...

You are completely forgetting Rome's main advantage, cheap manpower. If Rome can accumulate a huge number of infantry replacement chits, it won't matter if they then lose fights between the main armies in Italy, just so long as they don't lose a lot of units. Just keep hitting Hannibal every chance ...

Hi, guys. Good advices by James, but I must correct him in one thing: Ageod games ARE WEGO (each player plans his actions and the turn is resolved simultaneously), not IGO-UGO. May have some special needs to allow it then (Pre-existing high development levels or Major roads perhaps?) because I am not allowed to build RR's in Siam even though I've maxed out Rice, Opium and Fruit farms for them.

The game isn’t a WEGO system and has no intercept function in it, so you can’t really play it in terms of following around an enemy’s army with any hope of causing him to change his tactics based on a strategy like that. He will always be able to move past your army in a IGO-UGO sy...

Just a guess, but it's possible the last power to play a card is placed in the highest position. Try playing a bribe card or something and try and time it so it fires the turn just before the protectorate finishes. Then again loyalty and/or highest prestige value makes more sense to me, though I can...

Keep trying till the card sticks. It's a percentage chance it succeeds and I think difficult terrain like jungle has the lowest chance for the card to succeed, so it may take 10+ tries, it's all up to the die roll gods. Remember though, the unit must remain adjacent after the card sticks or the helm...

I think it auto-cancels if your stockpile drops to zero during the turn due to internal market consumption. Make sure you have excess items over and above your usage numbers and only sell that. I compare my ‘initial balance’ line (top row) with my ‘overall balance’ line (bottom row) and sell all but...

I’m basing my logic on what I saw with my logging cards in my current game. I built all my tier 1 logging cards and then they upgraded to tier 2 and 11 new tier 2 cards immediately became available to build when no logging cards were there the turn before. Then what I assume was due to population in...

The strategy I’ve laid out is an opening strategy only designed to get your private capital into healthy status so you can build up your economy. So for example at game start Britain is lucky to get 1 farm built every few months or so. In my game now (1860) I’m up to a point where I can build one or...

Just scenarios, though the 1880 scenario adds a lot of excess production capacity on map (lots of extra factories for everyone) to help all nations, so it is unique among the DLC in that regard, but it only effects the 1880 scenario it does not change the 1850 campaign.
