..."And the Gen needs to be "Active", but how does a Gen that is "ot Active" become Active??"... The generals are subjected to an activation roll (of the dice) each turn to see if they are active. This roll is compared to the strategy rating of the general. There is nothing a player can do except to...

A brigade with open slots does not have to be inside a city to receive the reinforcements. I think they do need to be in a region with a depot but am unsure of that. You can also speed up this process by sending your single inf/cav/art units to them and combining them manually. Some of the infantry ...

If you want to avoid the penalty for promoting Lee to Army Commander give a couple units to Johnston and send him somewhere where he will lose the battle. Then his seniority will drop and presto Lee has seniority.

The most valuable bit of info you need to get to your units is the cycle buttons E/R for land units and T/Y for naval units on your keyboard. These buttons will cycle through all your stacks which are active but have no orders. Without them it is a monumental task to complete a turn with any degree ...

Per Aryaman's suggestion, we are votingb on whether we should create a rule banning teleportation due to some gamey tactics that can be used. This would be applied towards Round 3, 4. I'd appreciate it if only surviving participants would vote. Right now, that's 10 votes. This is a public poll in t...

Gray, regarding the improved tooltip (great idea by the way! :thumbsup :) i think it would be better to just say "Leader is already in command of a division". If they have a strategy rating of less than three you are better off with the force being led by no general.. in my opinion. Those generals with a strategy rating of less than three are good for two things: Leading a force which will not go anywhere such as a major city defense force.. or as assista...

It can get a little difficult at times to "capture" the tooltip, however it helps to go into the "Media" tab of the "Options" box and set the "Tooltip Delay" to High (all the way to the right). I do have Lee with 24 cp's for his stack. Needless to say I was quite pleased. I have often got the Army to 23 but only once to 24. I think it may have to do with his strategy value. Glad you cleared that up. I did not know division leaders lend their full cp's to a corps stack. Probably because I never put divisions within a Corps. There is a lot of information to cover there and it needs to be sorted out. Divisions require 4 cp's this is true. You have to buy (build) the HQ in the reinforcements menu. Go to the books on the bookshelf and open the menus. HQ's take time to build. Once you build it you can strategically relocate it to where your generals are or to any region you want.
