And with cp management being such a big part of the game, that could get thrown out of balance very easily. Precisely my intent. In a real war the generals are always a big target. Understandably regions are big for one man to hide... but I would think that a general would travel with at least an e...

I was hoping to catch those lone generals travelling cross country. Such a foolish thing. I think they should be killed.

Killing Enemy Generals

Can you kill an enemy general? I've tried but can't seem to be able to do it. Or am I missing something? I see an enemy general in a province and I attack with cavalry. He should be killed right? He's by himself with no troops.

That's good to hear. Played a bit of this against AI, just started first PBEM. As the South I've just attacked Norfolk in first turn and hope to capture the naval ship there. I'm waiting for the playback. Was just wondering if this was even doable. Glad to see that it is.

Can enemy fleets be captured if Port City Taken?

If land units attack an enemy port city where there is a naval ship, can the land units "capture" enemy ships there? Or does the enemy automatically "sail" away?

PBEM question V. 1.12

I'm finally playing my first PBEM of AACW. Yeh.

My opponent is the U.S., while I'm playing the South.

I read somewhere that v.1.12 was suppose to allow seeing the host's moves. I don't see this. Nor do I get a readout, yet my opponent tells me he sees my moves. Hmmm.

Any ideas?

The large map comes as a .bmp file. I'm sure the original one was done in something like photoshop with layers. That would be a much better and easier to map file to mod, and would make it faster to do. Was the original a photoshop file or something other than the bitmap file? Is it possible to get ...

The ExMap utility is available in the Files for Modding thread...

You must supply your own antacids and Aspirin, however...

I realize the expense to manufacture a physical box might be too much, however, keep in mind that I found and bought your American Civil War at a store BECAUSE of the boxed game. Also, there may be people out there that can't or don't want to download a large file or any file for that matter from th...
