That indeed did it...I had missed that the error message was showing MSVCR71.dll.

That did it!

Thanks guys. Tried what you suggested (I am on XP SP3), but no joy so far. Still see the message after having copied the .dll file into System32. Tried redownloading the .exe from DigitalRiver in case my installer was corrupt in some way (mentioned as a possible problem on one registry site), but pr...

MSVCP71.dll error

Hello I foolishly thought to completely reinstall AACW to apply the new patch; unfortunately having done so I'm having trouble with reinstalling. After installation, on first run of game, I get for ActiveMovie Window: AACW.exe: "This application has failed to start because MSVCP71.dll was not found....
