I've always found quite frustrating both having to press "ctrl" or , even worse, "seeking for" the exact point on the screen simply to display the real force of the stack... I really hope the new generation engine will get rid of this weirdness

Not a user's fantasy anyway , the feature was in the first release manual and in the game itself although never running .
Any possibilty to get the live event texts running during a battle? This is a actually a feature that would do wonders for those new players that dont know what is happening under the hood and everything remains to them abstracted. It's about the well known "issue" of the lack of immersion and clea...
Still waiting for a decent tactical turned game for my preferite "era" (no, I'm done with Tiller/Hps games...) a game with the scope and semplicity of Victory and Glory was not particulary needed imho. Just look at some screenshot and you can realize V&G can't compete or be compared to WoN
Actually nowdays most of pc games "give their best" (but I would rather say "became playable") at least 6 months after their release , but considering fixes, patches, expansions and especially mods waiting 12-18 month it's always a wise choise, unfortunately.
Personally I think the weekly turn is a great decision, I would say "a must" for the napoleonic scenario , moreover I find the map quite huge compared to the others Ageod titles and considering WoN map covers a very large area, maybe it's becouse of the smaller regions? But I think it's another good...
1) The battle log "out of the game" is something I really don't want to consider for obvious reasons. 2) Actually it's not you the guy I want to "convince" of my point of view. :) 3) I've already written my personal suggestions for the battle report, you don't like them? ok np, just different vision...
Asking for a more exaustive and clear battle report it's not just about "game immersion" but it's about strategy! I read some very , very strange comparisons to Europa Universalis or other Paradox games... C'on gentlemen, those games have a very limited and simplistic warfare conception, (EU is a gr...
A "textual" approach for the combat report would be really great and very immersive but I woudn't pretend so much....Personally, I would just like a simple report of the total kills of my infantry, cavalry & artillery. Basically, the same thing we have for the losses just add for the kills...
Use the battle logs if you want more information, assuming one is generated by this game and I'm guessing it is. There's a lot going on under the hood. Actually pressing alt-tab and look for and open a text file it's not my idea of "game immersion" :( if you read with attention this thread you'll s...
There are no thousands of thread in this forum and Ageod devs kindly use to reply everywhere but strangely not in this thread which is also the most participated of WoN...
